Module 15: female reproductive system

OBJECTIVES: In this module, we will focus on the anatomy and physiology that is unique to the female reproductive system.  We cover the structure and function of the organs, the development and maturation of eggs, and the Ovarian and Menstrual Cycles.

Upon completion of this module you will be able to:
  • Identify the primary and secondary structures for the female reproductive system and their functions.
  • Describe the process of oogenesis.
  • List the steps of the Ovarian and Menstrual Cycles.
