OBJECTIVES: In this module you will the different categories of joints and how they vary in structure and function.  Additionally, you will learn the terminology associated with specific joint movements.

Upon completion of this module you will be able to:
  • Describe the different types of joints (articulations) and what kind of movement they allow.
  • Describe the components of a synovial joint.
